Fusion Optix Announces Acquisition of Three Leading Lighting Brands
Fusion Optix Acquires LEDdynamics, Prolume Lighting, and LEDSupply, Bolstering Its Position in the U.S. LED Market
Woburn, MA – April 16, 2025 – Fusion Optix®, a U.S.-based leader in advanced optical components, LED light engines, and integrated lighting solutions, has announced the acquisition of three Vermont-based lighting technology companies: LEDdynamics, Prolume Lighting, and LEDSupply. The move represents a significant step forward in Fusion Optix’s expansion strategy, enhancing its presence in standard, custom and outdoor lighting, driver technologies, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce. Together, these companies form a five-brand portfolio spanning components, luminaires, and e-commerce, under a single U.S.-based ownership group.
Dr. Terence Yeo, Founder and CEO of Fusion Optix, emphasized the complementary strengths of the acquired companies:
“The LEDdynamics pedigree, particularly in the technology of miniature LED drivers and high-performance light engines and lighting controls, was very attractive to us. Prolume has a legacy of several iconic installations and deep knowledge of outdoor and IP-rated products.”
Prolume Lighting’s notable projects include the 9/11 Memorial at Logan International Airport and architectural lighting for the National Archives in Washington, D.C., showcasing its creative capabilities in custom fabrication and design. LEDdynamics is known for pioneering compact and efficient LED drivers, including the patented EverLED and LuxDrive lines, while LEDSupply has become a go-to destination for DIYers, integrators, and OEMs looking for quick-turnaround LED components.
Yeo stated, “This is Fusion Optix’s first major acquisition so we really took our time to evaluate the businesses and get to know the teams. Like us, they are engineers, technologists and lighting industry people with a passion for innovation and making a positive contribution. It’s very exciting to welcome them to our team as we move into the next phase of growth.”
The acquisitions also reinforce Fusion Optix’s commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing and sustainable innovation. The acquired companies will retain their brand identities and continue operating with their existing teams and facilities in Vermont, now backed by Fusion Optix’s national infrastructure and R&D capabilities. Fusion Optix emphasized that the acquisitions are not just about scale, but about deepening its technical expertise and enhancing service levels across both project-based and product-centric channels.
“The additional manufacturing and engineering capacity is also very additive to Fusion Optix and our OEM customers,” Yeo said, “LEDSupply’s fast-growing e-commerce platform provides a great channel for us to increase accessibility to our components and solutions.”
