Cosine® optics are typically used in LED lighting applications where a uniform indirect source is required. Typically such a source is located close to the surface being illuminated. In a suspended luminaire this might be between 1ft and 2ft from a ceiling. Wall mounted fixtures might be even closer to the surface being lit. Cosine® optics work with most high-power and mid-power LED packages and are designed to work in an optimized manner on Fusion Optix SpekLED® modules.
Cosine® (Wide Angle) Optics
Cosine® optical technology and precision extrusion processes combine to provide high efficiency, uniform wide angle light distributions. Cosine® optics are designed to either be placed directly or used remotely with Fusion Optix range of SpekLED® LED boards. They provide uniform, high efficiency, indirect light across full color spectrum including 2700K to 4000K CCT, 80, 90 and >90 CRI and Circadian.
What is a Cosine® optic?
What can a Cosine® optic do?
The Fusion Optix Cosine® Optics range is designed to control and spread light outputs from SpekLED® LED boards into the precise distribution required to result in a uniform luminance on the surface on which the light is being projected.
