Reflective Films

Reflective Film based on the principles of diffuse reflectance, is a key tool when designing luminaires. Used as a back reflector in a fixture, particularly in applications such as fluorescent and LED tube lamp luminaires, RF is an effective replacement for reflective paint because it significantly increases the amount of lumens directed through the lens or louvre, thus increasing the amount of usable light. Additionally, RF reduces hot spotting in LED fixtures by evenly distributing back reflection.

For indirect luminaires, the RF is perfect for providing highly diffuse reflective illumination; the output is uniform at the required surface height, which adds to the efficiency of the fixture.
HOW IT WORKS

Our reflective films achieve 93.5%+ diffuse reflectance (SCE). They have a near lambertian reflectance profile which is achieved through a randomized polyester structure.

Our RFs offer mirror-like reflectance that achieves increased uniformity through diffused reflection. Standard specular reflectors can not offer increased uniformity due to their lambertian reflectance profile.

Our RFs offer an increase of 10% in efficiency in comparison to white reflective paint when used as a back light reflector in an indirect luminaire, with additional display and surface illumination uniformity from diffuse reflection.
